Obituary for Leyton Lloyd George Wint
January 10, 1979 – October 23, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Leyton Lloyd George Wint
announces his passing. Born on January 10, 1979, Leyton was one of
two sons of Elaine Joy Wint (Blair) and Leslie Wint.

Raised in Mount Vernon, Leyton attended Sacred Heart, Traphagen,
Blessed Sacrament, and Mount Vernon High School. Over the years he
became affectionately known to many as "Black" or "Choc," names that
spoke to the love and closeness he shared with so many.

Leyton had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen. His intellect,
curiosity, and charisma made him unforgettable. Well-read and
thoughtful, he could hold a conversation with anyone, and his
storytelling—vivid, humorous, and deeply engaging—left a lasting
impression on all who listened.

A committed fitness enthusiast, Leyton dedicated himself to bodybuilding,
running, and marathon training. His passion for fitness extended into his
work as a personal trainer, where he motivated and inspired others to
achieve their goals.

Leyton was also an avid traveler. Fluent in Spanish, he explored countries
such as Mexico, Cuba, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and
Italy, as well as many parts of the United States. Every destination
enriched his life and broadened his perspective.

A loyal Atlanta Falcons fan, Leyton proudly held season tickets and
cherished game days—especially when shared with his son Lincoln.
He was also the proud author of "Prey for Love," a book he wrote during
what he jokingly called his "vacationing time," capturing both his creativity
and his humor.

Leyton is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elaine Joy Wint. He is
survived by his loving wife, Shelly Robinson Wint; his children, Jaylen,
Yadae, and Lincoln; his father, Leslie Wint; and his brother, Wayne. He is
also survived by siblings Laurie, Deveril, Marc, Michael, and Ruth, along
with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives were
brightened by his presence.
Leyton's spirit, love, and light will continue to live on through those who
knew him and through the family he loved so deeply.
